Let’s have a little film production rant, shall we…
First… People need to read their damn call sheets!!! I didn’t spend almost 2hr making that call sheet from scratch for shits & giggles. We were almost 2hr behind schedule coz people didn’t read their times. The fucking cast was there before the crew. That’s just wrong.
Secondly…just coz you’re 1st AD doesn’t mean you can smoke in the middle of set!! The rules do not bend just coz you’re 1st. It’s incredibly rude, inconsiderate, & unprofessional. You are not boss. It just makes you look like even more of a douchebag.
Thirdly… I ask you 5 times whether we can dismiss talent that aren’t our classmates, you say yes so we dismiss them then you get pissed coz you fucking either heard wrong from DP or director, or you actually didn’t ask them, and it turns out we need them & you try to blame me & my assistant.
Fourthly… at the end of shoot, EVERYONE helps clear up. You do not get exemption coz you’re not G&E. I was 2nd AD & I was hauling as much cable & equipment as the electric/grip department! Everyone helps. Don’t bitch at me about claiming I think I know everything about editing (which I know i don’t) then don’t fucking help us clear up you stuck up bitch.
And breeeeeath…
But aside from that it was an awesome shoot & I’m so proud of our awesome film class.

So this is my view whilst I wait for my mum to pick me up. Yes, I am under a table in the editing room whilst Daniel fucks around with his version of a trailer coz I’ve already done my version & done the merging coz I’VE ACTUALLY BEEN IN CLASS/AT COLLEGE!
